What is your official job title?

Senior Project Manager.

How do you approach this role?

Every project is different and I like to put my own creative spin into my approach, sometimes developing something new to suit the customer as opposed to applying a set process or model that doesn’t fit. I don’t believe there is a right or wrong way but listening to client and understanding concerns and finding suitable solutions is best.

Last Netflix programme you watched?

My go-to comfort watching is Somebody Feed Phil or Queer Eye, but I just finished watching Maid. It’s quite a dark topic, but it was so absorbing and you’re just willing the lead character to succeed! It highlights how someone in a challenging situation would make decisions and the repercussions. Andie MacDowell plays the main character’s Mum and is the main actress’s Mum in real life (I can imagine very different upbringings!) The ending was satisfying though! I’d recommend.

What has been one of your favourite projects to work on?

Probably a Move Management project for Dechert, which took place in autumn 2023. Being a law firm, there were individual offices to plan for which involved a lot of people engagement and comprehensive shelf by shelf planning to ensure a flawless transition.  My rule is to never make assumptions on what people do or don’t value and have every component accounted for and agreed. It was interesting to see inside a Law firm post-covid and the impact it had on hard-copy volumes and digital ways of working. Generally relying on less ‘stuff’.

What did you study at Uni?

I have a degree in Illustration and Animation. I went on to study for my Master’s in Children’s Book Illustration. It’s always been something I would like to follow up on in the future. I do get to use my creativity to approach projects and in presenting my work.

Tell us something we don’t know about you?

I’m a baker. It’s more than just a hobby and I have been commissioned to make some amazing cakes. I made a birthday cake for Jacqueline Wilson for her 70th Birthday (my 10 year old self was thrilled!), and I lugged an anniversary cake for the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series to the top of Tower Bridge once. I met one of my best friends through baking and have made marshmallow tea cakes for Fortnum and Mason and travelled to India to bake at a high-profile wedding through her marshmallow business. It’s given me some amazing experiences.

What’s the last book you read?

Big Swiss – I’m not a big reader but trying to be.

The latest podcast you listened to?

Like Minded Friends with Tom Allen and Suzi Ruffell. They’re just friends catching up on what they’ve been doing in the week. Very easy listening-I go to sleep with it on.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

Either completing my Master’s degree or buying my first house.

What song would be playing if you would walk into a boxing ring?

Got My Mind Set on You - George Harrison.

What did you last see at the theatre?

Dr Strangelove with Steve Coogan. I bought my family tickets for Christmas. It’s an adaptation of the Stanley Kubrik film (which I actually hadn’t seen!) written by Armando Ianucci who did Alan Partridge, it was brilliant.

Which decade would you go back to and why?

1970s – for the music and to see how the people I love lived then. Or the 1980s as although I was born then, I didn’t really experience it properly.

What are you working on currently?

I’m currently planning a large move for an American Law Firm in the City.

Why do Customers work with ClearSpace?

I think we prove we can problem solve and predict potential obstacles before they are encountered. Our team have a lot of experience doing what we do. I think also we collaborate well with other contractors and understand the project is multi-faceted. We also leave our customers with a new environment that is ready and maintainable going forward.
